Wine knowledge has been in our family for decades. My mother, Claude Labarre (nee Fourcaud Laussac), bought Chateau Laplagnotte Bellevue (St. Emilion Grand Cru) in 1990 while she was still co-owner and manager of Château Cheval Blanc. In 1999 the Chateau La Croix Lartigue Cotes de Castillon was also acquired.
I joined the property in 1996, after studying viticulture and oenology. Today, with my wife, we support the operation of these two areas and would like to hand on that passion to our children.
